NYFO 7 on 7 Football represents the ALL NEW generation of football and player development.

NYFO is the national governing body for our 7on7 & non-contact football organization.

Our league, camps, and training exist to help football players get involved in the game football and stay involved the game by teaching them the required skills while allowing them to have fun in a competitive arena.

NYFO Durham - Chapel Hill is committed to delivering a positive player and parent experience by creating a positive learning environment for young athletes through trained coaches who are commited to teaching character, leadership and football.

This league is owned by Eric Smith. Eric is a former NCAA Division-I Quarterback. He is also the owner of The Winning Edge Quarterback Academy and a certified leadership trainer with The John Maxwell TEAM, the world's leading leadership organization.

Eric is committed to teaching the finer aspects of football while also teaching young athletes how to be leaders in football who will ultimately be able to be leaders in LIFE!

Eric believes that "7 0n 7 non-contact football is the ideal learning environment for the sport of football. Because there is no offensive or defensive line, it allows those wanting to play a 'skilled position' (quarterback, receiver and defensive back) an ideal environment to learn the game without the disruption of lineman or the typical risk of injury that full contact football brings". Smith insists that "if you look at the NFL, College and High School level, all do 7 on 7 in practice almost daily as a way to learn their system and develop their skills! NYFO has created a system for doing this in a competitive and safe environment".

Eric believes that by developing the skills and knowledge at an early age, athletes will be in a tremendous position to successfully transition to contact football when they are ready.

Smith says that "playing football has taught me so much about character and leadership. I'm excited to be in a position to help others have the same opportunities for growth and development that I had. It truly does make me feel like I'm living a purposeful life."

We offer spring, summer and fall leagues. If you'd like to be a part of our organization sign up now or contact Coach Smith today.

We are also looking for coaches! Coach Smith does not care whether or not you have football knowledge. Coach Smith says.. "I'm looking for high character people who are passionate about shaping young lives. I can teach coaches everything they need to know about football, I just what high caliber people who have a thirst for knowledge and love working with kids."
